UK Sales Representative

Location: UK – Midlands (Loughborough) / Option to work from home.

Our client is an innovative and ambitious company who offer solutions for the UK and European Energy markets. The digitalised trading and optimisation Platforms to allow energy consumers and producers to trade their energy requirements, monitor and optimise their energy management via their various Smart trading Platforms. Their web-based software is user friendly, very innovative, and unique in the UK and European energy markets.

The successful candidate will drive sales growth through your existing UK network energy sector contacts, using your excellent client relationship skills to develop new sales to new clients. This role will also include project management tasks to ensure the delivery teams achieve quality results to create client satisfaction. For this you will work closely with the Marketing & Sales and Product Development teams. You are expected to possess/develop an in-depth knowledge of the market and the company in order to identify the best opportunities for growth.

Main responsibilities include:
Manage the whole sales cycle from generation of leads to closing contracts
Design and implement a sales plan that expands the client base
Develop and maintain a target sector in the CRM database (energy supply companies)
Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts
Contribute to the organisation of sales events
Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development

Experience/Qualifications:
A proven network within the energy supply sector is a necessity
You are a real success hunter, and you will be the first point of contact for the company leads. Being a natural salesperson, you’ll provide clear credibility and possess an engaging style. You do this by building relationships and helping them by articulating digital solutions into their organisations. You know the innovation plans and strategies of your leads and are therefore capable of guiding them through complex solution and contracting processes. You are familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the corporate culture and decision-making processes within energy supply organisations serving b2b market segments. You excel in social skills and like to go out and meet up with leads and relations. You are skilled at lead generation and confident with cold calling, sales presentations and product demonstrations in the presence of mixed and multi-level teams. Also, you are proficient in composing proposals and negotiating contracts.
Finer details:
Knowledge of the UK energy sector and/or energy trading
Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in business administration, marketing or related field
Sales experience – ability to actively search for opportunities
Ability to manage complex projects
Proficient in Word, Excel, CRM, and PowerPoint
Comfortable using Salesforce (or other CRM system)
Willing to travel to Customers (occasional to HQ in The Netherlands and UK Office in Loughborough)
Package:
Salary £42.000 – £54.000 per year (based on a 40-hour week) + travel cost compensation.
Pension scheme + 25 days annual leave plus public holidays. Laptop and Phone.
