  • Company Overview:

    In partnership with our client we are seeking a time served Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our client based in Middleton. 

    You will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and technical support to the production departments, and will require a high level of experience within fault finding.

    You must possess a strong and practical knowledge of electrical maintenance and PLC, as well as mechanical systems and have a good understanding of current HS&E standards.

  • Role Specification:

    * Perform PLC fault diagnosis and to fault find on drives and drive control circuits (AC & DC  variable speed drives)
    * Provide breakdown & maintenance support
    * Work to improve company equipment and suggest improvements
    * Complete relevant paperwork such as maintenance logs and reporting systems
    * Safety circuit fault finding and diagnosis

  • Person Specification:

    * Knowledge of Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Telemecanique
    * 18th Edition is essential
    * Be familiar with PLC control systems and 3 phase motor control circuits
    * Knowledge of sensors, proximity, optical etc
    * Able to understand and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals
    * Qualified, to a minimum, ONC or equivalent
    * Computer literate
    * Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering &/or production environment

  • Any Other Business:

    Hours of work for this role are:

    6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm - £15 per hour (rotating weekly), Monday to Friday.


    Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm / 10pm to 6am - £18.50 per hour (rotating weekly), Monday to Friday.
