What is your favourite movie quote?  This definitely has to be from my favourite film ever “Whistle Down this Wind” starring Alan Bates and Hayley Mills (1961), in which two Sisters think they’ve found Jesus in their barn which is actually a criminal hiding (Alan Bates).  Their little Brother played the Lancashire Lad Charles (Alan Barnes) and he came out with such fantastic one liners such as:

“THAT’S NOT JESUS IT’S JUST A FELLA”
“EY UP WANT TO BUY A KITTEN JACKIE “? To which Jackie replied “NO I’VE GOT ONE”  “WANT ANOTHER?”  “NO”!!!!

Father says to Charles: “WHAT HAVE YOU GOT UNDER YOUR COAT?” Charles replies: “ME PULLY” (whilst secretly hiding some kittens he’d rescued that the farmer had tried to drown)

“You can’t call a kitten Spider” “I can, I can call it anything a want so there”

Think you had to have seen the film to appreciate any of the above I have to say!!!

Do you have a song that reminds you of a relationship and If so what song? Beverley Craven “PROMISE ME” this was so very poignant when I first met my treasured Husband Peter Albert.

What is one of your weird quirks? I asked my Husband if I had any to which he burst out laughing and said too many to name!! Charming! However probably the weirdest (apparently, everyone says so but I don’t see it) is that when I clean my teeth I choke and make a rather loud gagging noise which can be heard throughout the house and if you’ve not heard it before you would think I’m choking to death! What’s weird about that?!

What is the one thing you have always wanted to do? Gallop on a white stallion on the whitest beach imaginable, sun beating down on me, my long blonde hair flowing in the breeze, and I’m tanned, toned and don’t have a care in the world!!

What advice did you get that was the most rewarding? This is a really easy one, a piece of advice I got from my wonderful dad, Eric, when I said “Dad should I buy this? Am I being extravagant?” To which he replied “Think about the following:

1.  IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT
2.  IF YOU’RE NOT GOING INTO DEBT
3.  IF YOU’RE NOT HURTING ANYONE

…….”DO IT”……

However if any of the above apply DON’T!!

Such simple but valuable advice. Thanks, Dad.
