  • Company Overview:

    Our client is a well-established distribution company who have an excellent reputation in offering a reliable and streamlined operation. Offering specialised contract options, single drop, multi-drop options, both local in and around Manchester along with Nationwide operations.

    The hours for this role is:

    Friday - 6am - 6pm
    Saturday - 6am - 6pm
    Sunday - 6am - 6pm
    Monday - 7am - 7pm

    We are offering a salary of £120 per shift - this equates to £480 per week/£24,960 per annum.

  • Role Specification:

    The main duties of this role will include:

    • Plan all relevant customer deliveries utilising the software available at site to ensure all delivery windows are met
    • Source local agency drivers as and when required, providing and accurate brief of the job required
    • Source sub-contractors as and when required
    • Ensure loads meet safety standards
    • Manage drivers to ensure start times are adhered to
    • Pre-brief drivers so that they fully understand their instructions
    • De-brief drivers upon their return to ensure that all documentation has been completed correctly
    • Manage WTD compliance
    • Download driver cards for analysis
    • Comply with all transport legislation, reducing tacho-graph infringements to below the company targets and adhering to WTD regulations
    • Fully understand agreed KPI’s for department
    • All other transport related duties
    • Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role by line management

  • Person Specification:

    Our ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge:

    • Experience of working in a busy transport office
    • Knowledge of driver’s hours, tacho-graph and WTD legislation
    • IT literate
    • Knowledge of health & safety regulations
    • Commercial understanding
    • Knowledge of transport systems
    • Good geographical knowledge
