Stock Controller / Merchandiser

Due to a very heavy workload we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller / Merchandiser working for our client company who have strong presence in the interior textiles industry.

This is an office based position, but may require existing customer account visits on occasions.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:
    Monthly stock control from spreadsheets
    Forecasting and sales trends
    Assist in development/growth of current business
    Ensure customer orders are placed in a correct and timely manner.
    Liaise with Quality to ensure no potential issues on new lines
    Chasing of samples
    Ensure packaging is with factories to ensure time to meet shipment dates
    Control / update critical path development
    Liaising with overseas suppliers
    Assist with product development and write product specifications
    Any other duties to support the Sales Office Manager

  • Person Specification:

    Essential Skills:
    Strong forecasting experience is essential
    Critical Path Knowledge / experience of managing critical paths
    Inquisitive and analytical mind with strong communication skills
    Able to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines / prioritise workloads
    Excellent Excel Skills / spreadsheets / stock reports
    Strong administrative experience / organised
    Excellent communication skills
    Full clean driving licence

    Person Specification:
    Must have proven previous experience in a similar role (retail / textile background would be advantageous)
