  • Company Overview:

    A brand new role has been created for a Sales Account Manager with our client in the Greater Manchester area. The company is a market leader in their field of home products and they have global presence, they are currently experiencing rapid growth hence the need to recruit an additional member of the team.

  • Role Specification:

    • Set and agree targets with Divisional and Marketing Directors
    • Work with the Merchandise Manager on sales forecasts
    • Monitor target sales and meet set margin levels with each customer
    • Attend trade fairs both in U.K and overseas when requested
    • Accompany customers on overseas travel for factory/supplier visits if required
    • Visit stores and regularly comp shop giving feedback internally and also to be used in customer meetings on customer and competitor activity in the market place
    • Monitor departmental expenses and report on any exceptions when issued on a monthly basis
    • Report on sales projects with Divisional Account Manager within agreed time scales
    • Management of critical path
    • Organise design and development meetings with Customers, Design and Admin
    • Review and negotiate prices, minimums and lead times with factories.
    • Liaise with Quality to ensure gold seals are correct before sending to customers
    • Manage contribution and margin if a line is discontinued and cleared by the customer in the form of a promotion

  • Person Specification:

    • Well established Sales / Account Manager with at least 5 years previous experience in a similar role.
    • Will be driven, passionate and focused.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills at all levels and have the ability to build and maintain long lasting business relationships.
    • Interest in fashion, textiles/fabrics or retail.
    • Must be a team player.
    • This is an office based position.
