Production Op with FLT

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives with FLT licence for our manufacturing client based in Rochdale. As a flexible and motivated team member, you will work a two shift system, 39 hours a week, operating plant equipment and using a wide range of processing equipment to assist in the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and all near misses, incidents and accidents are reported/investigated.
  • Operate plant machinery to manufacture products following standard operating procedures and in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Setting up batches, checking, weighing and adding materials and physically moving batch materials where required.
  • Complete all batch related documentation accurately and provide suitable handover to on-coming shifts.
  • Clean vessels between batches to ensure no cross-contamination of product and/or materials to subsequent batches.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards and maximizing efficiency.
  • Report plant maintenance work requirements to minimize downtime and cost.
  • Keep work station clean, tidy and organized in line with the 5S approach.
  • Identify areas for improvement and/or cost savings.

Key candidate requirements:

  • Strong numerical ability with GCSE Math’s and English. Chemistry or a technical qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience in a manufacturing process environment or a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Must be physically fit and strong due to heavy lifting – handling product between 20kg – 30kg
  • Excellent team worker able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Computer literate.
  • FLT license counterbalance is a must – in house licences can be accepted,

Shift patterns:

Week one:-

Monday to Thursday, 6am to 2pm

Friday, 6am to 1pm

Week two:-

Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 10pm

Friday, 1pm to 8pm
