  • Role Specification:

    In partnership with our client we are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) to carry out and control all reactive & planned Mechanical & Electrical maintenance on their schools contract.
    You will be expected to work 40 hours per week; 07:30-16:00 (Mon-Fri), however some flexibility will be required to complete time sensitive tasks outside of school hours. Holidays will need to be taken outside of school term times

  • Person Specification:

    The ideal candidate will be Electrically qualified but with Mechanical experience and have knowledge and experience of working on some or all of the following; Electrical Distribution and Systems up to 400V, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Air Conditioning, LTHW Heating Systems, BMS Systems (Trend), Swimming Pool & Hydrotherapy Pool Plant, Lighting Systems, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarms, Security Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Commercial Catering Equipment and Domestic Appliances.
    Essential key skills / knowledge / experience.
    Have an excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
    Have good verbal communication with individuals at all levels
    Be able to prioritise and self-manage own workload
    Have an ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, in a sometimes challenging environment
    Be flexible and able to work on own initiative at the same time have excellent team working skills
    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations or Maintenance
    Current 17th Edition Qualification - Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671
    Experience of working on a maintenance/facilities management contract
    Hold a full clean driving licence
    Beneficial key skills / knowledge / experience
    City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) Qualification
    Experience and qualifications in a mechanical or plumbing profession
    Experience and qualifications in other building or maintenance professions
    Experience of working on/with Swimming & Hydrotherapy Pools
    IPAF (3a & 3b) License for MEWP’s
    Valid PASMA Qualification
    Current CSCS Card or equivalent
    Experience of working within a PFI/School/SEN environment
    Experience of working with Electronic Maintenance Management System or PDA’s
    Familiar with service level agreements
