Fire & Security Sales Person / Project Designer

    In partnership with our client who is a highly recognised specialist contractor, who provides Electrical and Building Management Systems, Security and Fire Alarm services throughout the UK. Due to winning two large prestigious contracts along with enjoying a very steady expansion programme, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Salesperson / Project Designer.

  • Role Specification:

    The purpose of the role includes management of sales and design in support of the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.
    Main Responsibilities:
    Pre tender submission, project quotes, follow company procedure.
    Overall responsibility to ensure that initiated projects meet company requirements in terms of selection, pricing, terms and conditions and lead time
    Overall responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied whilst maintaining the profit margins on Sales
    Lead and manage the process of assessing new customers
    Ensure that handover meetings with projects are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post order status

  • Person Specification:

    Must have FIA units 2&3
    Familiar with most fire systems including Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hotchiki
    Knowledge of most aspiration systems including Vesda, Xtralis, System Sensor
    Familiar with most intruder alarm systems including Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, Elmdene
    Knowledge of most CCTV systems including Hikvision, Axis, Samsung
    Familiar with most door access control systems including Paxton, Videx, TDSI, Assa Abloy
    Knowledge of most disabled alarm systems including C TEC, Baldwin Boxall
    Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
    Experience of dealing with complex Designs/Tenders
    Financial/budget management
    Relevant experience within related industry
    Key skills:
    Must be competent with reading specifications, taking off drawings and producing a design and detailed project specific quotation in both email and paper format.
    Strong negotiating / influencing and persuasion skills
    Commercial acumen
    Ability to identify potential new leads.
