  • Company Overview:

    In partnership with our client, who are an expanding family owned SME manufacturing company who are rapidly becoming an internationally recognised brand within their industry, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, whose responsibility will be to manage and develop the Finance and Administration functions of the Company ensuring it is meeting its statutory obligations and to provide effective management information to the Directors. To ensure the financial assets of the Company are safeguarded.

  • Role Specification:

    Oversee the maintenance, accuracy and timelines of the Company’s accounting records and to ensure that robust sales and purchase systems are developed and operated
    Prepare monthly management accounts and communicate financial performance to the Directors
    Complete or review various month end tasks and reconciliations along with finance team
    Optimise the Company’s short term cash flow and prepare long term cash forecasts
    Maintain and develop a system of defining and reporting KPI’s both financial and non-financial
    Promote collaboration between teams and support departments in managing procedures and processes to ensure they are cost effective and efficient
    Company secretarial duties including statutory books, board meetings, statutory returns and dealing with other legal, taxation and risk management
    Oversee general insurance, company fleet and pension arrangements
    Liaise with external advisers including auditors, lawyers, bankers and HR as required
    Process monthly payroll and make bacs payments, run payroll year end processes and liaise with HMRC as necessary
    Assist the FD in building a finance strategy and long term business plan in preparation for the annual budgeting and forecasting process
    Develop a project management process to control all strategic investments and capital projects in conjunction with the Directors

  • Person Specification:

    Working knowledge of sage
    Ability to adapt to a bespoke ERP/MRP system
    Experience of working in the Manufacturing Industry is essential
    Experience of managing a small team
    Integrity, tact and discretion
