Finance Officer

An opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer for a well-established manufacturing company located in the surrounding area of Nelson. This company works closely with clients in many industries and specialist sectors and has provided services for over 70 years.

Role and responsibilities of a Finance Officer

  • Weekly Payroll
  • Managing the Accounts Payable Function
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Daily communication with suppliers and customers
  • Management of banking facility for several currencies and factoring accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliation, financial analysis
  • Supporting the build-up to the production of the monthly management accounts
  • Budget variance analysis
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Intercompany recharges
  • Sales invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Year-end accounting procedures
  • Daily use of EPICOR ERP &Excel

Skills and experiences

  • Experience as a Finance Officer
  • AAT qualified
  • Working towards a CIMA/ACCA or ACCA is beneficial
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing/production/engineering environment would be very beneficial but not essential
