  • Company Overview:

    We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative (with Engineering experience) on behalf of a well-established, long standing engineering manufacturing company based in Rochdale.
    The role is a full time, temporary to permanent position, and WILL become permanent for the right person. Full training will be given, and there are excellent additional benefits once you become a permanent employee, including a generous pension and company bonus scheme.

  • Role Specification:

    • Running bespoke machinery to produce a patented end product
    • There are three processes, and you will be required to run all three machines
    • Machines are automatic, however you will be required to have the knowledge and confidence in setting machines up, and solving any problems should certain parts break down
    • Keep the workshop clean and tidy
    • Programming the machinery using the computers (similar to CNC programming)

    Hours of work:
    • The role starts initially on days, working:
    • Monday to Thursday - 8am – 5pm
    • Friday – 8am – 12.30pm
    • However the ideal candidate will be flexible on working hours and be available to work the following shifts when required:
    • 6am- 2pm
    • 10am-6pm
    • 6pm-6am

  • Person Specification:

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual, who can work in a team as well as using their own initiative, a ‘can do’ attitude and a good work ethic, who has the following:

    • Previous machine setting experience
    • General housekeeping/cleaning
    • Programming experience is desired
    • Ability to learn and pick things up quickly
    • Good concentration
