We are recruiting for a specialised Electromechanical Maintenance Manager, to join a well-established, reputable company based in Essex. Your role will be to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations including maintaining and compliance of inspections.

 

You will have overall accountability and be responsible for managing a team of 3 Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineers, in coordinating equipment maintenance. This will include planned maintenance, breakdowns and overhauls.

 

This role will be split between being 70% hands-on and 30% management.

 

You will also be responsible for managing sub-contractor performance, achieving KPI targets and for driving continual improvement.

 

This role will be based in Essex from Monday to Friday each week, as such will be suitable for someone who likes to work away from home, (financial support will be provided), or would consider relocating.

 

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Prevent breakdowns, by ensuring planned preventative maintenance is undertaken
  • Be hands on with repairs, installations, along with the maintenance team
  • Schedule all maintenance aspects of the plant, whilst minimising disruption to operations and maximising uptime and availability
  • Attend all Senior Management meetings, to set KPI’s & targets for their team
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly meetings with your team
  • Able to complete legal documentation and reports

Skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Have worked in a similar role for a minimum of two years
  • Able to demonstrate extensive experience as a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter (as you will be required to be hands-on)
  • Be 17th edition qualified & have knowledge of electrical circuits
  • Good working knowledge of CPU hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experienced in assembling, testing, fault finding, and installation and fitting
  • Previous experience of managing a maintenance team
  • Extensive experience in planned machine maintenance
  • NEBOSH &/or IOSHH qualification(s) are desirable
  • LOLER &/or PUWER qualifications are beneficial
