  • Company Overview:

    In partnership with our client, we are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to work in an extremely well established team of four.
    This position will report directly to the UK Financial Controller. The purpose of the role will be coordinating the debts of existing debtors, and maximising revenue cash flow into the company

  • Role Specification:

    • Checking customer’s credit ratings with credit agency
    • Setting up the terms and conditions of accounts
    • Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments
    • Negotiating re-payment plans
    • Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
    • Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
    • Raising sales invoices
    • Issuing credit notes
    • Managing the entire debt recovery process which could involve stopping the supply of goods and services or undertaking legal action, or at worst dealing with bankrupt businesses to negotiate recovery of funds.

  • Person Specification:

    • Credit Control qualification preferred – CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management)
    • Proven track record to demonstrate the Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
    • Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
    • Competence in Microsoft Office
    • Prior experience within a Credit Controller role
    • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations

  • Any Other Business:

    Whilst a background in a manufacturing or engineering industry would be an advantage it is not essential.
    This is a great opportunity to be working in a company who have a very low staff turnover and have strong ethical values.
