Business Unit Coordinator

Main Purpose of this role –

The role is directly linked to supporting the business units within the company, coordinating and responsible for all administration needs within that business unit.

Main Responsibilities – 

  • Responsible for customer liaison within the business unit, responding to their needs and requirements
  • Responsible for the end to end processing of Sales Orders within that department, including generating, dispatching and invoicing for finished goods.
  • Responsible for generating leads and sales
  • Supporting the shipping and dispatch department, with regards to the business units customer base, which may include international trade (import and export)
  • Providing weekly, monthly and yearly sales data and reporting to the Business Units management and company directors.
  • Responsible for the system administration of the product range, including bills of material, labour requirements, and costings.
  • Managing stock levels of raw materials and finished product according to customer demand
  • Responsible for the generation and completion of Works Instructions for issue to the manufacturing operation according to stock levels and customer demand
  • Directly responsible for the swift and efficient operation of procurement, and upkeep of the purchasing section of the company manufacturing MRP software, with joint responsibility for selection of products and suppliers (i.e. scheduling the purchase of raw materials, products and services according to customer demand of product)
  • Supporting other administrators, in the general administration duties of the business including telephone queries
  • Scheduling customer demands using EDI system downloads.
  • Administration focal point for the quality system, and together with a small team responsible for internal audits and ongoing quality improvements.

 

Skills and Experience – 

  • Divisional coordination
  • Good knowledge of textiles, Fabrics and fashion
  • Strong administration & organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong sales skills
  • To be able to focus on any given task
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel/Word and database
  • Manufacturing knowledge
  • Knowledgeable in process flow
  • Knowledge of Microsoft NAV or similar MRP system
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to plan ahead
  • Good customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
