Business Administrator / Coordinator

  • Company Overview:

    In partnership with our client a major textiles manufacturing company, we are currently recruiting a Business Coordinator for a 9 months maternity cover. The role is directly linked to one of the business units within the company, coordinating and responsible for all sales and administration needs within that business unit.

  • Role Specification:

    Responsible for customer liaison within the business unit, responding to their needs and requirements.
    Responsible for the end to end processing of Sales Orders including despatching and invoicing.
    Supporting the shipping and dispatch department including international trade (import and export)
    Providing weekly, monthly and yearly sales data.
    Responsible for the system administration of the product range, including bills of material, labour requirements and costings.
    Managing stock levels of raw materials and finished product according to customer demand
    Responsible for the generation and completion of Works Instructions for issue to the manufacturing operation according to stock levels and customer demand.
    Directly responsible for the efficient operation of procurement, and upkeep of the purchasing section of the company manufacturing MRP software, with joint responsibility for selection of products and suppliers (i.e. scheduling the purchase of raw materials, products and services according to customer demand of product).
    Scheduling customer demands using EDI system downloads.
    Focal point for the quality system, and together with a small team responsible for internal audits and ongoing quality improvements.

  • Person Specification:

    Technical knowledge of Fire Protection (ideal but not imperative)
    Strong administration & organisational skills.
    Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel/Word and database.
    Textiles manufacturing would be an advantage.
    Knowledgeable in process flow.
    Knowledge of Microsoft NAV or similar MRP system.
    Good customer service skills along with an excellent telephone manner
