Assistant Business Unit Coordinator

Northern Employment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Business Unit Coordinator to join the team of our manufacturing client on an ongoing contract, potentially leading permanent for the right candidate.

The role is directly linked to one or more of the business units within the company, coordinating and responsible for the administration needed within that business unit.

 

Other duties include:

  • Jointly responsible for customer liaison within the business unit, responding to their needs and requirements
  • Supporting the task of generating bill of material, and work schedules, (work instructions) and issuing these to the manufacturing operation
  • Supporting the purchase of raw materials, products and services specified, from selection of suppliers
  • Directly responsible for the swift and efficient operation of procurement, and upkeep of the purchasing section of the company manufacturing MRP software, with joint responsibility for selection of products and suppliers
  • Supporting the shipping and dispatch department, with regards to the business units customer base, which may include international trade (import and export)
  • Supporting other administrators, dealing with intercompany transfer and business activities
  • Support the co-ordination of acceptance of products, (returns and non-conformance system) into supplier invoice validation. Entering information directly onto company manufacturing MRP system into bought ledgers.
  • Administration focal point for the quality system, and together with a small team responsible for internal audits and ongoing quality improvements.
  • Assisting the business division coordinators to manage and run each business division

 

Essential Skills:

  • Previous Manufacturing experience essential preferably within the Textiles Industry
  • Good knowledge of Exports and Imports essential
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Previous experience working with a MRP system preferably Microsoft Navision

  • Knowledgeable in process flow
  • Ability to work under pressure

 

Working hours are:

Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5pm

Friday, 8:30am to 4pm
