Experienced Practice Accounts Clerk

Salary up to £23,000pa DOE

In partnership with our client, who are one of the area’s leading Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who have been established for over 50 years and have a broad knowledge and understanding of all their clients’ business needs and requirements.

To be considered for this role you must have a MINIMUM of 3 years’ experience working as an Accounts Clerk in an accountancy practice, as this role will involve working with various clients.

 

Duties/responsibilities:

 

  • Handle incomplete records up to accounts for tax returns
  • Dealing with a high volume of invoices
  • Assisting the preparation of management accounts
  • Maintaining records and spreadsheets
  • Using Sage to produce trail balance
  • Provide cover within the Accounts team where needed
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Computer literate with high attention to detail

 

Skills/knowledge/experience

  • To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accounts Clerk within an Accountancy Practice
  • IT literate (Microsoft applications)
  • High level of accuracy and good attention detail

 

Hours of work for this role are 9.00am-5.15pm, Monday to Friday, (however there is some flexibility in this and the client may also consider part time hours)
